word of (y)our day
word of (y)our day is a project of 365 of my favorite, most poignant words (along with 52 phrases—one for each week).
Words are my life; they have been for as long as I can recall. They are also my profession, as a career-long editor.
I love words—and I love spreading that love and expanding the personal lexicon. When I evoke a “Oooh, what does that word mean?” reaction, there is nothing better.
Thus, word of (y)our day will go on, day by day, until November 5, 2013. At that point, I will be self-publishing the compilation.
This is a collaborative effort with NaturePunk, who advised me to finally put a cap on my ever-growing personal dictionary and truly spin it forward into a concise and directed effort.
With her support, I’m hoping the word (get it!) will get out to all of you, and perhaps you too will find this a worthwhile endeavor.
"Words and phrases to better your life" is the lofty mantra of this project. But, you cannot describe something without the proper words; you cannot tell of something without the right words to accompany it. With the right words, you can do anything.
But, more than anything, I just hope these words find a way into your lives.
More details as they come. Thank you all for the support.
